Weâre back for another season of Flag Footballâand this year, weâve simplified and focused the program based on what worked (and what didnât) last season.
đŁ Whatâs New in 2025?
This year, we will only be offering one Flag Football Team Division. We will not be running a separate clinic.
đš Flag Football Team Division
For 1st â 3rd Graders
This division is designed for players who are ready to participate in team-based practices and games. Due to the age range, weâre looking for:
- 1st Graders who can follow instructions well
- Novice 3rd Graders (ideal for those who are new to football)
Players in this division will be placed on teams and will compete against similarly aged and skilled players. We want to ensure games are balanced and enjoyable for all playersâespecially our younger athletes.
- Assessment Day: August 18th and 19th
- No Preseason Camp â team assessments only
đĽ Coaching & Waitlist Policy
Last year, we had to cancel the season due to a lack of coaches. This year, weâre taking a new approach:
- Registration will begin as a waitlist
- We will not open full registration until we have at least 4 volunteer coaches
- Families will be notified once we meet the coach requirement
đ¨ We need coaches! Flag Football canât happen without volunteer support. If youâre interested in helping outâeven if youâve never coached beforeâweâll provide all the resources you need.
đĄ Why These Changes?
Weâve learned that flag football requires focus and maturity, even at a young age.
The previous clinic format wasnât effective for the youngest participants. The volunteers we outnumbered by the players to a level we felt they could not be managed effectively.
Keeping games fair and developmentally appropriate is a top priorityâso weâre looking for the right mix of players, not just by age but by readiness.
