Falcons Field Hockey

Welcome to the Falcon Youth Sports Field Hockey Program! We are dedicated to teaching girls the fundamental skills of field hockey while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. Our program caters to girls from Pre-K to 8th grade, providing a supportive and engaging environment for their development. At Falcon Youth Sports, we are proud to have a team of dedicated volunteer coaches who generously donate their time and effort to help girls learn and grow. Our coaches focus on teaching the basic skills of field hockey, ensuring that each participant receives individual attention and guidance. Our practices are typically held on Tuesday and Thursday nights, providing a consistent schedule for our players. These sessions are designed to enhance their skills, improve their technique, and build camaraderie among teammates. With an emphasis on small team sizes, we ensure that every girl gets plenty of playing time during practices and games. Speaking of games, we schedule them on Saturdays, providing an exciting opportunity for players to showcase their skills and teamwork on the field. By participating in these games, our girls gain valuable experience, learn to handle competition and develop their sportsmanship. Join us at the Falcon Youth Sports Field Hockey Program and discover the joy of field hockey while fostering friendships, learning new skills, and becoming a part of our vibrant and supportive community.

Age Groups & Divisions:  Age divisions are typically grouped with 2–3 grade levels together depending on overall registration numbers each season. Our goal is to create divisions that provide balanced competition, player development, and appropriate team sizes. Ideally, we would like to offer four separate divisions:

  •  1st & 2nd Grade
  • 3rd & 4th Grade
  • 5th & 6th Grade
  • 7th & 8th Grade
However, division structures are dependent on final player registration numbers and the availability of volunteer coaches. Final divisions are determined closer to the start of the season once registration has closed.

What Players Need: Players should bring the following items to every practice:

  •  Field Hockey Stick
  • Shin Guards
  • Mouth Guard (Required)

Coaches & Volunteers Needed:

Falcon Field Hockey is built on the dedication of volunteer coaches. As players age out of the program, many coaches move on as well, so we are always looking for new volunteers to help keep the program strong. If you have field hockey experience and enjoy working with young athletes, please consider volunteering as a coach at any age level. Falcons is also looking for parents interested in helping with clinics and team activities throughout the season.
